Customer Training Specialist – RCS – Simulation & Training Solutions

Provide electronics knowledge/technical skills for accomplishment of customer training including operation, schematic theory, troubleshooting, assembly/dissassembly, alignment, and repair of Collins avionics equipment. – Develop new training courses and secure necessary data to develop and plan courses using available resources such as project engineer interviews and software research tools including E-Matrix. · Maintain a thorough understanding of the engineering drawing process including document release, test specs, document change notice, and revision control practices. · Work closely with the courseware development team to co-author select courses, critique course materials, and provide overall subject matter expert (SME) support. -; Prepare course outlines, lesson plans, and selecting the appropriate method of instruction in accordance with approved standards and contract requirements. – Operate various interactive classroom resources and audio visual equipment to support training and meet training objectives. – Provide feedback to other instructors, technical writers, FSE/CSE personnel and engineers regarding technical manual errors or equipment design deficiencies. Recommend corrections and revisions. – Learn equipment/systems by setting up, operating, and performing functional tests on equipment/systems to be trained. – Forward leads for potential sales to appropriate management/marketing personnel. – Present professional image in conduct, attitude, and appearance. – Grade 5 requires an undergraduate degree in applicable science or engineering field or equivalent. – Grade 7 requires an undergraduate degree in applicable science or engineering field or equivalent, plus three (3) years or more of directly related experience in military or commercial avionics, maintenance/instruction. – Must possess directly applicable experience with aviation in general including communications, navigation, and surveillance systems and the ground air traffic control environment. – ; Must be knowledgeable of Government/military training specifications and forms. · Knowledge of Collins avionics products, equipment and systems or similar systems closely related in design and functional characteristics. – Must possess excellent communications skills along with the ability to maintain effective working relationships with internal and external customers. – FAA A&P license with aircraft Flight Line Maintenance experience preferred.

Applicants must be capable of obtaining a US Department of Defense Security Clearance. US Citizenship required.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in appropriate discipline or six years related exempt experience.
