National Learning Manager – Big Box Retail Experience Required!!!!Phoenix, Arizona (Relocation Assistance Available) Newly created role with creative freedom to define strategies and processes! This is an outstanding career opportunity for a National Learning Manager with big box retail experience to oversee five Regional Training Managers within this $5B specialty retailer and industry leader!   While reporting to the Director of Learning, you will be a liaison between the field stores and corporate office as you align priorities among the business and the learning function.  Your superb project management skills will assist you as you oversee projects from inception to execution ensuring all learning strategies are executed across the organization.  Success in this role can quickly open the door to an exceptional career path! Are you up for the challenges…and the rewards? About The Position… In this fast paced and challenging position, you will be responsible for… -         Establishing a powerful relationship between the Business community and Learning  Ensure active ongoing communication occurs Establish clear commitments Ensure that expectations are clear between Learning and the business  -         Aligning the priorities between Business and Learning·         Demonstrates deep knowledge and understanding of business issues and needs ·         Actively engage in both strategic and tactical thinking…and problem solving ·         Formalize the development and communication of priorities and plans ·         Establish processes to ensure resources are deployed against the priorities ·         Ensure there is a clear roadmap for projects, systems, and process improvements·         Actively lead change within the organization around process & technology -         Ensuring the Business & Learning organizations create the highest possible value for the company·         Establish a clear value proposition on all work undertaken ·         Measure and drive value creation after changes are implemented ·         Link projects to our business strategy, our learning strategy and our corporate goals ·         Provide due diligence on potential projects at feasibility stage ·         Establish shared accountabilities for project success ·         Establish essential project success factors before undertaking work ·         Evaluate options and alternatives beyond just learning solutions…especially process ·         Facilitate business readiness for learning and process change ·         Develop a larger plan that our projects work toward (consensus on a vision and a roadmap to get there) -         Increase the effectiveness of the Business & Learning organizations ·         Increase productivity by focusing the work ·         Establish long-term plans ·         Facilitate Learning & Business community responsibilities for successful change deployment·         Increase morale; building support for change and value creation·         Build business community support and sponsorship for achieving the plans  -         Additional Responsibilities:·         Understanding current business priorities, issues, needs and goals ·         Understanding current Learning priorities, options, constraints and strategies ·         Guiding feasibility assessments for potential projects ·         Advising business leaders on learning and process options ·         Advising Learning & HR leaders on business priorities ·         Recommending and advocating projects to undertake ·         Ensuring that all recommended projects have: ·         Clear value, (2) strategic fit, and (3) essentials for success in place ·         Ensuring that learning & process solutions deliver business value ·         Communicating needs and status between the business and Learning·         Guiding and advising project leaders and teams throughout each project lifecycle, building a project and system roadmap To be immediately and seriously considered for this amazing opportunity, you must have the following: -         EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE·         BA/BS degree in Instructional Design, Human Resource Development, Business or related field required.  ·         Masters in Human Resource Management or MBA preferred.  ·         5-8 years business experience required as a manager of learning development and delivery functions in an enterprise level Learning organization.  ·         Big box retail experience.  ·         3-4 years experience with performance consulting, budget planning, and leading projects required. ·         Excellent communication and interpersonal relations skills required.  ·         Communicate and negotiate effectively at all levels of the client organization, HR, and with external vendors. -         TECHNICAL SKILLS·         Deep Business, Learning Development & Delivery, Process, and Change Management skills ·         Ability to analyze and evaluate complex business, learning & process opportunities ·         Ability to build relationships with a broad set of leaders ·         Ability to provide thought leadership and influence ·         Ability to build consensus ·         Great interpersonal skills, especially communication skills ·         Good negotiation skills ·         High customer orientation ·         Keen interest in learning new areas and new ideas ·         Demonstrated willingness to take a stand on important issues ·         Demonstrated strong follow-through on work ·         Ability to operate effectively in a matrix organization Compensation/Benefits: To attract the best, this position offers an outstanding and highly competitive compensation and benefits package that includes an exceptional base salary, a substantial annual bonus and some of the finest and most comprehensive benefits available! Contact: Bryan Benson, RecruiterAll About People(602) 955-1212 bryan@allaboutpeople.net
