International Bank located in midtown Manhattan is seeking an Assistant Credit Manager to work with the Credit Manager and Corporate Lending Officers on presentations of complex credit proposals to the New York Branch and Head Office Credit Committees.

This position will monitor and review performance of outstanding credits and inform New York Credit Committee of any changes in the underlying credit of borrowers; analyze and supervise all credit activity for Middle Market and Fortune 500 companies.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: – Participate in the initial review of credits to decide which ones fit into branch parameters and will undergo further analysis.

- Prepare and present credit applications to New York Regional Management and International Credit Committees.

- Supervise Credit Officers and review proposals.

- Review and analyze credit and financial information using public information and company furnished financial statements, projections and business plan.

- Make recommendations based upon creditworthiness of borrower and terms of facility.

- Liaise with Head Office analysts in regard to applications sent to the International Credit Committee for approval.

- Attend Credit Committee Meetings as well as bank meeting and conferences with corporate lending offices.

- Undertake special projects relating to Credit Department and loan portfolio as well as perform other duties as requested by senior management.

Candidate must have 8-10 years of relevant experience as a credit analyst ina corporate\banking environment.

Two years in a formal bank credit-training programis required along with prior management experience.

Bachelors Degree with a concentration in Finance/Accounting/Economics.

MBA Desirable.

Proficiency with MS Office products.
