The Cost Accountant’s primary responsibilities include building, reviewing, maintaining, and analyzing standard costs, performing account analysis and reports for consignment, subcontracting and supplier managed inventories, as well as preparing LIFO calculation and forecast.
This position will have a significant role in month end closing, including journal entry preparation and account re conciliations, and in the preparation of the monthly Executive Inventory Summary and the Manufacturing Performance Report, inclusive of write-ups for variances.
This position will be responsible for improving accounting processes and procedures in an effort to improve efficiencies and strengthen internal controls.
The Cost Accountant will work with plant and corporate personnel to review and investigate various variances and understand the effects of those variances through the entire inventory/production cycle, and communicate to management issues and opportunities.
The individual will prepare various ad hoc analyses, SAP trouble-shootings, and system enhancement projects on an as needed basis.The successful Cost Accountant will have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (CPA/CMA preferred) and 4+ years progressive cost accounting experience, which includes hands on experience with a standard costing system in a multi-plant process-manufacturing environment, preferably in the chemical industry.
The candidate must possess strong analytical, problem solving, interpersonal, and communication skills and be proficient in Word and Excel.
The client is looking for a self-starter, quick learner, as well as goal oriented and driven individual who strives for increasing responsibilities.
Promotional opportunities may require relocating and or commuting to the plant locations for developmental assignments.
Prior SAP experience is preferred, but not required.

Job Description
As a valued team member of the Home Resort Products, you will provide this division with engineering/technical support of the development of new products and overall quality improvements by planning, launches, redesigning of project schedules and other outdoor products in the most cost effective manner.
Primary Responsibilities
Develop and implement the engineering technologies and Delphi Methods necessary to design high quality, cost effective products in order to meet the established marketing strategies.
Consult on a regular basis with executive staff, manufacturing, sales, marketing, dealers, and end-users to formulate products opportunity strategies.
Utilize World Class Manufacturing Techniques in benchmarking manufacturing processes and technology in order to increase productivity.
Reasearch and implement cost reduction initiatives throughout all levels of the product line in order to meet business plan goals and objectives.
Provide timely support to manufacturing, distribution, vendor’s dealers and product end-users to diagnose problems; then implement corrective action to resolve quality issues, production problems and complaints.
Job Qualifications
Minimum 10 years Mechanical Design experience.
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field.
Minimum 8 years experience in metal fabrication & designs
3 years experience using Solid Works
Must be RESULTS ORIENTED and DEADLINE DRIVEN!
Proven ability to manage projects within specified guidelines.
Must posses a desire to grow and thrive in a fast-moving, dynamic environment!
