We currently have a great opportunity available for a Planning and Inventory Manager in Mundelein, IL.The Planning and Inventory Manager is responsible for leading the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process through its monthly cadence of product review, demand planning, supply planning, financial reconciliation and culminating in the executive management business review for finished goods, consumables and service parts.

Develop, manage, monitor and report on inventory control practices in SAI/SRA plants, DC’s and third-party distribution centers.

Responsibilities: Collaboratively plan with product management and marketing on product activities including new product introductions, end of life plans, promotions and supply constraints.

Develop Demand Plans: -Create SKU level reagent and instrument demand plans through statistical analysis and collaborative planning with sales, product management, and marketing as necessary- Create SKU level consumable and, in conjunction with Service Operations, service parts demand plans through statistical modeling.

-Report and monitor monthly forecast accuracy metrics.

Execute Supply Planning: -Calculate and maintain safety stock levels to meet customer fill rates for reagents, instruments, consumables, and service parts.

-Plan purchases of finished goods and parts, issue purchase orders, resolve constraints, allocate inventory, monitor in-transit shipments, and monitor receipts.

-Plan production of reagents including planning BOMS (MRP planning).

-Report and monitor inventory levels and fill rates.

Lead Financial Reconciliation -Review constrained and unconstrained revenue projections along with scenario planning.

-Review working capital requirements on purchases, production and projected inventory levels along with scenario planning.

-Review current projections to annual budgets/plans for issues to be discussed at Executive Business Review.

-Ensure that Corporate and Financial inventory targets are met Lead Executive Business Review -Review product activities, demand plans, supply plans, and financial reconciliation issues.

-Review performance metrics Manage Inventory Control Practices in SAI and SRA plants and DC’s as well as third party locations -Develop, manage, monitor and report on inventory control practices -Establish, review and report performance metrics -Recommend and work with operations teams to implement process improvements related to inventory control, including IRA and cycle counting practices Recruit, train, and develop staff to ensure overall quality of the process and effectiveness of team members.

Review metrics and results to continually refine and improve processes.

Set priorities for application development to support planning and inventory control.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Business, Supply Chain or Related field required.

MBA or Masters degree preferred.

APIC Certification a plus 5 – 10 years of inventory planning exp. with a min. of 5 years leading a planning team.

POSITION

1. POSITION BASIC PURPOSEThe Supply Chain Analyst is responsible for optimizing inventory levels in support of the Customer Service objectives of the business.

Included in this is responsibility for using the planning system and processes to establish and maintain proper inventory levels for assigned Finished Goods and Components.

This includes maintaining key performance indicators for assigned products, conducting root cause analysis, and defining and implementing actions for continuous performance improvement.

2. CONTEXT OF THE POSITION Ferraz Shawmuts Supply Chain operation consists of suppliers in the US, France and Asia Pacific, two manufacturing plants (Juarez Mexico and Newburyport, MA) and a third party distribution center in central US. The production operations are high volume/high mix operations.

This position is responsible for planning of assigned segments of products in support of annual sales inventory and customer service goals.

This includes planning of components for final assembly and planning of both purchased and Manufactured Finished Goods.

Supply chain planning is accomplished primarily with and the JDE ERP system and integrated Kanban pull system linking customer demand to production and back to the supplier.

It requires effective coordination with the Materials Managers and planners in the Juarez and Newburyport plants, with our sister company in France (our largest supplier) and with Sales, Marketing and Engineering departments.

3. POSITION REQUIREMENTS (KNOWLEDGE, COMPETENCIES AND ABILITIES) Requirements

1. BS/BA Degree: Business or Technica

2. Must have exceptional analytical abilities, including skill in data gathering, data manipulation, and familiarity with statistical analysis.

3. Develop and maintain planning systems that provide excellent on-time delivery with a minimum of inventory.

The Supply Chain Analyst is responsible for producing results in a dynamic environment.

4. Must have a High level of proficiency in Excel and the ability to learn ERP and other databases quickly.

Experience with Access and ERP (SAP, JDE, Oracle, etc) is highly desirable.

5. Demonstrated success managing projects involving complex data sets.

Demonstrated success managing improvements in Supply Chain, Materials Planning, and Inventory Optimization is highly desirable.

6. Must have excellent organization, presentation, and communication skills.

Fluency in French, Mandarin, or Spanish is a plus.

7. Must possess excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and influence associates at all levels of the organization.

A Receiving Supervisor is a role model and leader and must solve problems, make decisions and manage the department wisely in order to achieve maximum results.

Maintaining optimum department staffing by recruiting internally and externally as applicable. Conducting interviews, selecting, orienting, and training of qualified candidates. Developing responsible staff through coaching, counseling, monitoring, appraising, and evaluating job results. Provide on going trainings to team members. Responsibilities
Oversees all Inventory Receiving related activities. Primary responsibilities include:

Qualifications
