Our Boston headquarters office supports the Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI) (formerly the Clinton HIV/AIDS Initiative) and the Clinton Climate Initiative (CCI).
We are currently seeking an Accounts Payable Analyst to support these two initiatives through a variety of administrative, analytical and accounting functions.
Responsibilities: The Accounts Payable Analyst will report directly to the Manager of Accounts Payable and will work closely with Finance, In-Country and various other Initiative teams, as well as our Care Partners and suppliers.
The Accounts Payable Analyst plays a key role in supporting both CHAI and CCI to achieve their financial goals and objectives.
Provide a high level of customer service by performing a variety of customer facing tasks and through professional, written communicationAssist in the completion of all steps in the Accounts Payable process within established deadlines and in accordance with Initiative policiesManage CCI payment process by preparing weekly payment forecast, completing invoice entry into A/P system and setting-up payments for processingPrepare and upload CCI expense payments to GLPrepare, process and record payments in foreign currenciesWork with multiple financial institutions to ensure payments are properly accounted Maintain accurate detailed records of financial transactions within areas of responsibilityEnsure data integrity by participating in monthly review of A/P financialsProvide financial analysis and special project support as requiredAssist in the annual preparation of 1099 reportingConduct thorough research and resolve payment problems as presentedProvide constructive, creative, and cost effective ideas and recommendations for process improvementAssist in the development and implementation of new and improved policies, practices and procedures.
Provide support in the documentation of standard operating practices.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of workQualifications: Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Operations, or related fieldStrong oral and written communication skillsAbility to work independently and effectively in a high-pressured, fast-paced, less structured environment and to handle multiple tasks simultaneouslyDemonstrated strong analytical and problem solving skillsAbility to create and maintain complex spreadsheet modelsDetail-oriented, highly organized and productivity driven Proficiency in Microsoft Software programs; esp. Excel Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of accounting practicesKnowledge of Accounts Payable functions Prior experience working with an NGO or non-profit organizationFamiliarity with Accounts Payable software programs; preferably Blackbauds Financial Edge
