Securities Team Processor – Computershare (two positions)

The Securities Team Processor is responsible for having a working knowledge of up to one third of the essential duties of the Securities Team. This position is the first of three levels of responsibility. The Securities Team is responsible for providing full transfer agency services to a specified group of clients and their shareholders.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· The primary focus of one of these positions will be on processing losses and non-receipt of securities. The primary focus of the second position will be on processing of new issuances and electronic transfers. These are both critical functions within the team.

· Answers calls from shareholders/brokers/clients regarding transferred securities and other related securities concerns.

· Reviews client instructions for specific information. Verifies that information is correct and forwards transfers on for additional processing. Examines checks or certificates to verify that information is correct and forwards them on for additional processing.

· Matches incoming documents with specific log item tickets.

· Processing new issues, which include stock options plans, private placements, registration statements, etc.

· Enters data into computer system from source documents: including logging in, transferring, etc.

· Processes new checks, certificates, or securities and forwards them on for additional processing.

· Completes DWAC transfers.

· Checks certificates to ensure that proper restrictions are coded on the computer system and proper legend(s) are placed on the certificate. Check to verify the transfer was completed properly and documentation is in order. Reprocess incorrect transfer items.

· Requests fees and/or additional documentation for transfer.

· Obtains legal opinions for restricted transfers.

· When necessary, types legends on certificates.

· Talks with coworkers to correct problems related to various stock transfer procedures.

· Follows up with shareholder requests with response and outcome.

· Researches various internal and external issues. May provide documentation as requested from other departments.

· Responds to written correspondence regarding transfer items. All correspondence is maintained using an internal correspondence log.

· Assists shareholders and clients with lost certificate replacements.

· Process rejected stock.

· Keeps accounts in proof and under control.

· Sets up proxy meetings and prepare estimates in system.

· Prepares all outgoing meeting packages.

· Orders lists, labels and journals for proxy meetings.

· Creates and mails broker searches.

· Distribution of daily report to internal departments.

· Completes various clerical tasks as required in the specific branch.

· Cause to be ordered new certificate inventory or coordinate QuickCert activation

· Files New Issues/Cancel Only transactions and maintain all corporate records for clients

· When necessary, completes special projects as required by management.

· When necessary, completes final audit of transfers.

· Lends assistance to other departments as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED

· High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one to two years related

experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience needed.

· Great attention to detail.

· Ability to read and comprehend detailed instructions.

· Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.

· Dependability, consistently at work and on time, is essential.

· Ability to prioritize work.

· Ability to take incoming calls from brokers, shareholders and issuers.

· Ability to type 35 wpm.

· Stock transfer and proxy experience is a plus!
