· Non-academic diversified experience with material science (polymers, deformulation, ceramics, metals, composites, metal fatigue, corrosion, tensile strength etc.) is strongly preferred.

· Provide technical support by assisting with the development of quality control and testing requirements, documentation, specific converting technology to be used, etc. · Use of X-ray powder diffraction (XRD) or structure analysis of materials systems, including but not limited to metals, ceramics, composites, and polymers.

· Experience in characterization techniques such as XRF, SEM, TEM, merchanical testing.

Work closely with colleagues in Product Management, Electrical Engineering and Manufacturing functions to implement specified design requirements into production quality systems.

Participate as a key member of Product Development team.

Bachelor’s degree (BS) in Mechanical Engineering with 4+ years experience or Masters degree.

Experience with piping systems, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, agitation systems and instrumentation.

Proficient with SolidWorks or Pro-Engineer, Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office Suite.

Must have excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.

An understanding of product development, FMEA, workflow processing techniques and familiarity with MRP systems is desirable.
