Description
The Patient Care Technician is a nonprofessional worker who performs duties to help promote comfort and provide assistance to the nursing staff. Directly responsible in the completion of delegated duties and responsibilities as a member of the Patient Care Team.

Qualifications
C.N.A. certificate preferred. Six months experience in an acute care or educational setting. Skill in phlebotomy and/or demonstrates skill to learn. Skill in obtaining EKG and/or demonstrates skill to learn. Can follow simple instructions. Can read, write and speak grammaticaly correct English. Clinical skills commensurate to the allowed scope of responsibility. Ability to understand and follow directions, cooperate and work under the direction and supervision of others. Requires frequent walking from department to department: requires sitting at a work-station or desk; requires standing; work may include occasional pushing and/or pulling, lifting, and carrying objects weighing up to 50 lb., such as files, documents and computer printouts. Work requires finger dexterity and eye hand coordination to operate a computer keyboard at a moderate skill level.

Charge Nurse in a Dialysis setting Job in Phoenix, Arizona US

Charge Nurse RN needed with Dialysis experience (minimum 3 months) Central Phoenix Functions as the hemodialysis team leader in the provision of chronic hemodialysis care and treatment.  Provides day to day direction and supervision to the direct care staff.  Participates in the department staffing and appropriate hiring, firing and disciplinary actions.  Train and orient staff as necessary and routinely observe and guide direct patient care staqff for appropriate technique.  With Clinical Manager conduct staff meetings at least monthly or as needed. Assume primary responsibility in an emergency situation, assis patient needs, respond to dialysis treatments and communicate any concerns to rounding physician.  Administer medications to patients per physician orders and participate and supervise in completiion of short and long term care plans.  Must have:  RN license in good standing (AZ)Minimum of 9 months nursing experience PLUS 3 months of specialized experience providing clinical nursing care to dialysis patients, in either a chronic or acute setting.Med/surg nursing preferredSupervisory experience strongly preferred -
