GENERAL SUMMARY: The Technician is responsible for productive diagnosis, repair, and replacement of both specialized and general automotive parts and accessories.
A Technician is expected to comply with company safety, loss prevention, and customer service programs as well as established policies and procedures and municipal, state, and federal regulations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Operational Duties· Ensures a valid Service Order and/or Tire/Battery requisition is initiated prior to initiating service on a vehicle· Ensures a Preventive Maintenance Check List is completed on every vehicle serviced and returned to the Service Deskprior to initiating service on the vehicle· Ensures a valid Service Order is visibly displayed with the vehicle while it is being serviced· Ensures the Work Copy of the Service Order and any required printouts are completed and returned to the Service Deskwith the vehicle keys upon completion of service· Obtains needed parts through service management personnel only· Returns all unused parts to service management personnel after the completion of service· Returns rebuilt parts cores, batteries and used tires to designated security areas for appropriate handling· Maintains average productive “labor hours” equivalent to 90% of hours worked during any consecutive four week period· Minimizes “comeback rate to two or less during any four week period2.
Safety & Housekeeping Responsibilities· Road tests vehicles after completion of service to ensure safe and satisfactory operating conditions· Secures and locks customer vehicles when returning vehicles to parking lot areas upon completion of service· Maintains a clean work area clear of debris, cores, unused parts and stray tools and equipment· Maintains and cleans shop equipment immediately after use by removing debris, grease, chemicals, etc· Participates in daily and weekly shop maintenance programs as designated by service management· Complies with established safety and loss prevention programs to include protective eyewear and back belt use

As a valued team member of the Home Resort Products, you will provide this division with engineering/technical support of the development of new products and overall quality improvements by planning, launches, redesigning of project schedules and other outdoor products in the most cost effective manner.
Primary Responsibilities
Develop and implement the engineering technologies and Delphi Methods necessary to design high quality, cost effective products in order to meet the established marketing strategies.
Consult on a regular basis with executive staff, manufacturing, sales, marketing, dealers, and end-users to formulate products opportunity strategies.
Utilize World Class Manufacturing Techniques in benchmarking manufacturing processes and technology in order to increase productivity.
Reasearch and implement cost reduction initiatives throughout all levels of the product line in order to meet business plan goals and objectives.
Provide timely support to manufacturing, distribution, vendor’s dealers and product end-users to diagnose problems; then implement corrective action to resolve quality issues, production problems and complaints.
Job Qualifications
Minimum 10 years Mechanical Design experience.
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field.
Minimum 8 years experience in metal fabrication & designs
3 years experience using Solid Works
Must be RESULTS ORIENTED and DEADLINE DRIVEN!
Proven ability to manage projects within specified guidelines.
