Education: graduate of an accredited vocational school of nursing.
Experience: None required. Qualified individuals will successfully complete the competency assessment.
Training: 30 hour IV Course required
Licensure: Currently licensed or eligible for LPN licensure in the State of Florida
Other: Communication and interpersonal skills, basic computer skills, and customer service skills required.
Job Summary:
Performs and documents selected acts such as the administration of treatments and medications in delivery of patient care under the guidance and discretion of the registered nurse. Assist the RN in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care according to established policies. Collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes. Supports the organization vision and mission. Uses knowledge of patient’s age and cultural diversity into the provision of patient care. Contributes to the provision of quality nursing care through excellence in customer service and performance improvement techniques that demonstrate positive outcomes in patient care.

$3,000 Sign on Bonus with dialysis experience!! Provide direct patient care for assigned patients and assist in the care of other patients as needed. Perform all technical aspects of dialysis procedures. Assess patients’ response to dialysis therapy and make appropriate adjustments and modifications to the treatment plan as indicated or directed by the supervisor or as prescribed by the Physician. Assess patient pre, interim, and post dialysis and document findings. Administer medications as ordered to assigned patients. Responsible for assessing educational needs of patient and educating the patient and family regarding end stage renal disease, dialysis therapy, diet and medications. Current appropriate R.N. licensure.Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. Successful completion of a training course in theory and practice of hemodialysis.Successful completion of CPR Certification.Minimum of one-year medical-surgical nursing experience preferred.Hemodialysis experience preferred but not required.ICU experience preferred.Ability to assist in lifting patients and equipment.Ability to provide coverage at area facilities during times of short staffing or as required. $3,000 Sign on Bonus with dialysis experience!!!
