Education: graduate of an accredited vocational school of nursing.
Experience: None required. Qualified individuals will successfully complete the competency assessment.
Training: 30 hour IV Course required
Licensure: Currently licensed or eligible for LPN licensure in the State of Florida
Other: Communication and interpersonal skills, basic computer skills, and customer service skills required.
Job Summary:
Performs and documents selected acts such as the administration of treatments and medications in delivery of patient care under the guidance and discretion of the registered nurse. Assist the RN in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care according to established policies. Collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes. Supports the organization vision and mission. Uses knowledge of patient’s age and cultural diversity into the provision of patient care. Contributes to the provision of quality nursing care through excellence in customer service and performance improvement techniques that demonstrate positive outcomes in patient care.

Provides quality nursing care according to established practice standards and guidelines for the areas assigned.
Qualifications
EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE:
Minimum:
Licensed in the State of Georgia as a R.N.
Desired:
Previous hospital experience preferred in area specialty
LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS:
Licensed in the State of Georgia as a R.N. Advanced certification field of specialty/expertise encouraged. BLS certification required, ACLS certification required within 6 months for charge nurse position
SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES:
Demonstrates theoretical and clinical expertise and the application of knowledge thereof, in the assigned specialty. Participation in professional organizations encouraged. Good interpersonal communication skills and customer service skills. Must become familiar with hospital computer system.
