EMSL Analytical Inc is seeking an experienced Materials Analyst for its new Headquarters lab located in Cinnaminson, NJ. We are seeking an experienced, Materials Analyst with excellent communication skills that is willing and able to commit to growing the laboratory and its capabilities.

Commercial laboratory experience is strongly preferred.
This position is located in our Headquarters location in Cinnaminston, NJ and is full-time and includes benefits.
· Responsibilities include but are not limited to: · Utilize scanning & transmission electron microscopes for various applications.
· Design experiments to provide analytical data and interpretation to solve problems requested customers.
· Recommend needed instrumentation to continue/facilitate laboratory growth.
· Responsible for equipment maintenance and qualification, and interaction with vendor service and application support.
· Interact with both internal and external customers to understand the requirement and plan for workflow.
Summarize the analytical data upon completion and generate final reports.
· Effective verbal/written communication skills, self-motivated, well-organized, and constructive, effective team player.
· Non-academic diversified experience with material science (polymers, deformulation, ceramics, metals, composites, metal fatigue, corrosion, tensile strength etc.) is strongly preferred.
· Provide technical support by assisting with the development of quality control and testing requirements, documentation, specific converting technology to be used, etc. · Use of X-ray powder diffraction (XRD) or structure analysis of materials systems, including but not limited to metals, ceramics, composites, and polymers.
· Experience in characterization techniques such as XRF, SEM, TEM, merchanical testing.
etc. · Strong knowledge in structural characterization of molecular and polymer materials by chemical, optical, spectroscopic, mechanical techniques are helpful.
· Requirements: · Bachelors in Materials Science, Geology, Metallurgy, Chemistry, or Forensic Science Degree.
Advanced degrees a plus.
· 3 years of hands-on analytical experience and sample preparation in commercial lab setting.
· Hands-on experience with SEM, TEM, FTIR, XRF, XRD is desirable · This person must have excellent communication skills and have the ability to multi-task · Must able work well independently and with a team.
· Must be willing and able to work weekend when necessary to meet business demands.
